Savannah Pepperell had a busy day at the plate on Tuesday, smacking five hits in Crowley’s 24-4 victory over Seguin. Pepperell singled in the second, doubled in the fifth, doubled in the sixth, singled in the seventh, and singled in the seventh.
Crowley Eagles took the lead on a single by Pepperell in the second inning and didn’t look back. Crowley Eagles continued to add to their lead each inning and then they notched 11 runs in the seventh inning.
Crowley Eagles big bats were led by Karagan Perez, Emmie Castillo, Mariah Barboza, Allie Jeter, Kennedy Williams, and Jayden Allen, who each had RBIs in the inning.
Jeter led things off in the pitcher’s circle for Crowley Eagles. She lasted seven innings, allowing eight hits and four runs while striking out nine and walking one.
Serrato started the game for Seguin. She allowed eight hits and seven runs over three innings. Gonzales threw four innings in relief out of the bullpen.
Crowley Eagles totaled 19 hits. Savannah Pepperell, Mary Gori, Jayden Allen, Allie Jeter, Karagan Perez, Mariah Barboza, and Emmie Castillo each managed multiple hits for Crowley Eagles. Pepperell led Crowley Eagles with five hits in seven at bats.
Seguin collected eight hits on the day. Acosta and Alexander each had multiple hits for Seguin. Acosta went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Seguin in hits.
