Crowley fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 16-1 loss to Liberty Hill on Friday. Liberty Hill scored on a triple by Dimer, a double by Covington, a single by Kulmann, a single by Macias, a groundout by Naschke, a double by Brewer, a single by Limon, and an error in the first inning.
The Eagles struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Liberty Hill, giving up 16 runs. Liberty Hill got things started in the first inning when Dimer tripled on a 3-1 count, scoring one run.
Covington led things off in the circle for Liberty Hill. She went four innings, allowing one run on two hits and striking out seven.
Mariah Barboza toed the rubber for Crowley. She surrendered five runs on five hits, walking zero. Allie Jeter threw four innings out of the bullpen giving up 10 hits while walking 1 and striking out 1.
Kennedy Williams and Emmie Castillo each collected one hit to lead the Eagles.
Liberty Hill collected 15 hits. Limon, Covington, Macias, Kulmann, and Dimer all collected multiple hits for Liberty Hill. Limon went 4-for-4 at the plate to lead Liberty Hill in hits. Liberty Hill was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Macias had the most chances in the field with seven.
