Crowley closed out the Round Rock tournament with a 3-0 loss in a close game to College Station on Saturday. The pitching was strong on both sides. College Station pitchers struck out one, while Crowley sat down two.
College Station scored on a single by Schnettler and an error in the first inning.
College Station opened up scoring in the first inning, when Schnettler singled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run.
Crowley Eagles lone hit came in the third inning on a single by Savannah Pepperell.
Hudson was in the circle for College Station. She surrendered zero runs on zero hits over one inning. Allie Jeter led things off on the rubber for Crowley Eagles. She went three and a third innings, allowing three runs on four hits and striking out two.
Pepperell led Crowley with one hit in three at bats.
Carreon went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead College Station in hits. College Station was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Scarmardo had the most chances in the field with six.
